Public Examinations 2025 Summer 2025 written examinations for GCSE and GCE will take place between 1st May 2024 and 24th June 2025. The summer 2025 exam timetable will include some national contingency exam days, the dates of which are 11th June and 25th June 2025. The contingency days are arranged by exam boards for "GCSE and/or GCE examinations, should sustained national or local disruption arise during the June 2025 examination series". This means that students will need to be available up to and including this date to sit any rearranged final exams. Please bear this date in mind when booking your summer 2025 holidays and arrangements. If a student is not available up to and including the contingency day and is required to sit a rearranged exam, they will miss out on achieving a good grade which would, of course, be devastating after their years of hard work studying the course. BTEC, Cambridge National and Entry Level Certificate exams can be taken outside of the main examination timetable for students following those courses. In addition, it is important to remember many subjects have non exam assessments that take place throughout the year, especially in March/April, such as Photography, Drama, Dance, GCSE and GCE Language oral examinations and Food and Nutrition. Other subjects require controlled assessments to be completed during lesson time throughout the year. Students will be advised by subject teachers if and when they will be completing any written examinations or non-exam assessments outside of the main exam season.
