Supporting Families - Early Help

At Woodrush High School, we are committed to working in partnership with families to ensure that every child is safe, supported and able to thrive. Our Early Help Offer explains how we identify concerns at the earliest possible stage and provide the right support before difficulties escalate. By working together with pupils, parents, carers and external agencies, we aim to promote positive outcomes for children and young people.

Early Help is about offering support as soon as a need is identified. This may include help with attendance, emotional wellbeing, behaviour, family changes, or wider challenges that may affect a child’s learning or development. Early Help focuses on building strengths, improving resilience and supporting families to find solutions, rather than waiting until problems become more serious.

Where appropriate, an Early Help Assessment may be used to help understand a child or family’s needs more fully. This is a collaborative process involving families, school staff and, if needed, professionals from local services. Woodrush High School works in line with Early Help guidance and procedures across Worcestershire, Solihull and Birmingham, ensuring families can access consistent, coordinated support.
